Soundbites
In this soundbite I share how I tried, and failed, to avoid one of my biggest fears (conflict) and, what happened when I finally listened to my body instead of my mind. Having since taken the courageous conversation plunge, I am reminded that sometimes the fear-response is a misguided attempt to keep us safe. By avoiding this particular situation, I was attempting to trick myself into believing that I didn’t need to deal with it. Sadly, my body had other ideas and it wasn’t until I found the courage to address the situation that I was able to resolve both the conflicts within myself and with the other person.
In this soundbite, I share how wildly unprepared I was for the biggest task I have taken on in my business so far. With time on my hands during the Covid pandemic, and unsure how long virtual working would last, I decided it would be a good idea to create an online version of some of my leadership and coaching products. This decision soon went from being a simple idea to be one of the trickiest projects I have ever taken on. Six- months later and filming is underway.
In this soundbite, I share how my stories help others to learn new information by triggering their own experiences, which helps them to anchor this new knowledge to their own frame of reference.
In this soundbite, I explore how being in business forces a Growth Mindset - with a personal story about a time in which I found myself having to choose between the comfortable Fixed mindset zone and the daunting prospect of courageously entering the Growth mindset zone.
In this soundbite, I share The 5 Chairs video series trailer. The 5 Chairs series is a collaborative product, developed by some amazing people, who came together to help show the communication choices we have in the workplace. Join me as we witness how our corporate hero, JD Holden, moves through the chairs. In each episode, JD makes choices that primarily reflect the behaviours of one of The 5 Chairs. In doing so, he helps us to see how, in any given situation, the micro behavioural choices that we make have a lasting impact on how we are perceived in the workplace.
